Jehovah's Witnesses, Is it typical for family and friends to become hostile, and rude?

My family is Catholic, I was Catholic until I was excommunicated for questioning the almighty Catholic Church. I have friends who are atheists, and Christians of various denominations. Ive studied and practiced everything meta-physical and paranormal. I've been "saved", and "born again". It's only since I've been studyiing the bible with JW's that my friends and family have really turned on me. They were OK with me worshiping the psychic Sylvia Brown for years. Believing the word of God in the bible to be the only REAL TRUTH, I destroyed all meta-physical books and parafernilia. NOW they think I'm crazy. I'm in a cult, I'm being deceived, led astray, and brainwashed. I feel like I'm being spiritually attacked from every angle. I have a history of being "crazy", I'm bi-polar, medicated and in therapy. These people are trying to convince me that, just because I've made some positive changes in my life, I must be suffering the beginning stages of another psychotic breakdown.
