Why is it that Christian martyrs are often discussed, but not martyrs of other faiths?

i know that there have been some killings done in the name of "Christianity" but also in history there have been many people who preached the gospel (which at the time what contrary to what the church taught) and because of that were killed for being heretics and blasphemers.
