Decorating help!!!?

OK, I have a living room that I am about to furnish. The walls are a pale yellow (as is the rest of the house), the color is called Carriage Light. We have light oak hardwood floors and a stark white staircase is the livingroom. What color couch, chairs, etc. And what about coffee tables and end tables? Light wood or darker wood? Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!
