500 sterling? you could come to Dublin for that, stay in a hostel they are mega clean and there's loads to do flights are mad cheap with ryan air you could even go to paris or amsterdam or london for a weekend with 500! You dont have to pay for all your friends to travel and stay, it's your 30th they come along cos they want to cos you're their mate! Pick something and tell your friends thats what you're doing betcha they'll all be glad to have a trip away to look forward to! Your 30th is'nt like a wedding you should not have to pay friends to enjoy your company especially not on your birthday! Buy them all a lunch if you want to thank them for coming but after that its them that should be celebrating with you not on you!
