Electrical Sub switchboard?

I need an expert to explain in detail on the standard of sub switchboard installation. I have a situation here, whereby our Sub Switchboard is installed in our receptionist counter. It is a 200Amp and a wall mounted. The distance between the Sub with the employee will be around 2ft - 10ft. i am concerned of the electricity shock might happened (the only thing that i know about electrical). So, the question is that, what about the standard? Is there any regulation clearly stated on the location of the switch board? TQ.
