I am putting up a play called On the edge by Craig Pospisil ; I wanted to find a song to go with it any ideas?

The play is about this young man named Gene who is so upset this girl he likes is kissing some other guy he decides to jump of the ledge of a building. So hes standing there then this girl, Sammy, comes to the window for a cigarette and they begin to talk about Gene and his problems. In the end they learn some intimate things about each other and share a moment feeling the breeze outside the window. To me the play is about two people helping each other and making a genuine human connection. There is no ual chemistry between them though, or I dont think there is, because Samm y is a . I dont want the music to be too chessy or too serious (for lack of a better word), but still meaningful. I really appreciate anyone taking the time to help me out thanks.
